I am incredibly honored to have had the opportunity to work with Pattie Gonia and the National Audobon Society on this project. This dress is inspired by the Western Meadowlark. It was constructed using fabric that was hand dyed Lesley Darling with natural elements foraged from the prairie. Photo credit to Mike Fernandez / Audobon.
Shop Pattie Gonia x AudobonThis collection was inspired by the colors, patterns, and styles of the 1970s. It is meant to bring the retro into the present day by making vintage fashion more accessible for women who may not be able to incorporate true vintage pieces into their wardrobe due to cost, location, sizing, or care required for older garments.
These were two garments I showed in Omaha Fashion Week. One garment was designed as a daywear with a vintage take, the other was an experimental design piece.
These are two garments that I have shown in Project Funway, a local fundraiser to support women in need. The one requirement to show in this event is that the garment you submit has to be completely upcycled.
